Rain

I love rain. What I love most is being able to go running through it the rain is lightly coming down. You can't really go outside and run through a downpour. Well, maybe. I don't think your parents would be very happy with you if you walked into the outside, dripping wet, probably caked with mud. I've never tried that, but I have a strong feeling about what my parents would say, and I doubt that I would be very happy with what does happen. I won't go running through the pouring rain anytime soon.

Halloween

Halloween is probably one of my favorite days of the year. It's always great to go and hang out with all of your friends, maybe dress up and go trick or treating if you want to. I usually don't dress up for Halloween, but this year I'm going to the Halloween dance. I have to be an angel. Have to, because my friend Hannah is forcing me. She's going to be a devil, so I have to be a n angel. Then, we will be opposites. I'll have a good time, though. Also, I'm looking forward to all of the candy. :)

Book I'm reading

The book that I'm reading right now is called The Lightning Thief, by Rick Riordan. It's the first one in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. I've read all of Rick Riordan's books, but I'm rereading this one. It's about a boy who finds out that his father is Poseidon, the Greek god of the Sea. Then he is accused of stealing Zeus's, the Greek god of the sky, master lightning bolt. Percy is then basically forced to go on a quest to find the master lightning bolt and then return it to Zeus in no more then 9 days. It's an great, fast paced adventure that I think everyone would love.

Patriotism Essay

Suiting up into their battle wear, our army gets ready to fight for our country. They have good weapons, huge numbers, and all of them are trained well to do exactly what they have to go do. This army also has something big: the drive to help our country. How? Because of patriotism. Now, if America didn't have patriotism, the army probably wouldn’t have the will to fight. They still might win, but they wouldn't have the drive that they had before. Patriotism still matters because love and devotion is always important in countries.

An important part of patriotism is pride. Pride can be shown in many different ways for your country, like showing love for your country, being proud of your country, and being devoted to your country. This aspect of patriotism is probably one of the most important parts of being patriotic. If people in the U.S. didn’t show pride for the country, where would we be?

Though pride is a very important part of patriotism, one that is even more important is loyalty. Loyalty is showing love for your country for reasons none other than being a resident there. It is supporting your country and being proud for the country you live in. Loyalty for your country is still and will always be needed. Having loyalty will mean that people will fight for their country, and we will always need that.

Pride and loyalty both connect into war. You need both pride and loyalty to fight for your country and that brings a drive to fighting. War is about fighting for your country and keeping it safe. People risk their lives every day to keep us and the U.S. safe. When you fight in a war, you are showing pride and loyalty to your country in unbelievable ways. Being in a war is a great way to show all of that.

Patriotism definably still matters. It means showing love and pride for your country, supporting your country, keeping your country safe, and just being an excellent citizen. That’s what being a excellent citizen of your country and having patriotism is all about. Patriotism still matters because of all the things it does to help our country be a better one.
